April 26--We Can Food Drive and Festival
04/21/2009

On April 26Polk City United Methodist Church's WE CAN Rally in Capitol Square was a tremendous success.  Their goal was to collect at least 1,000 food items from the 29 participating churches, and they collected 30,809 items total.

The majority of this food will be donated to the DMARC Emergency Food Pantries and is enough to serve those in need in Greater Des Moines for more than a week.  We are grateful for their support.
